This week’s show will be a little different than usual. Rather than featuring a segment on an entire country, we’ll be presenting music from Appalachia, the mountainous region that stretches across much of the east coast of the United States.

We will be joined in the studio by Andrew Karakla, who hails from Virginia and has a strong connection to the musical heritage of his native land. Expect folk, gospel, and everything soulful. Even within America, there are many exciting and mysterious sounds to explore..

Most Exciting New Show!!
We are delighted to announce that Wandering Rhythms has been voted the ‘most exciting new show’ by our peers at CJSF Radio. We are proud to share this award with Nation to Nation, which received the same number of first-place votes. There are loads of great new shows airing on CJSF, so it is a huge honour to receive this award, especially since it was chosen by the radioheads themselves. Thank you.
This is a tremendous vote of confidence, a reminder that there are ears open to the unexpected, to the ever-shifting sounds of a beautiful, musical world. We shall continue to seek a sonic balance amongst all races and places, in the hopes of accelerating the breaking-down of artificial walls that separate us. I hope we sound inspired. We are.
