Colin Easthope and the Plaid Bandits!!

On June 20th, Williams Lake bluegrass wizards Colin Easthope and the Plaid Bandits will swoop down onto Burnaby Mountain to perform in-studio on Wandering Rhythms.  Expect 2 hours of action-packed finger-pickin’ goodness – songs played live, songs played off of their as-yet-unreleased record, a discussion about 21st century bluegrass, bluegrass from around the world, and many appropriate tangents.  Please ride along!

Holla- The Sequel

Just wanted to let people know that as far as listening to our latest show goes… look left!

There’s a link to the cjsf archives. Yes, they podcast in half hour segments, and yes, that’s annoying. Especially since we run a two hour show. We’re looking into how to stream this differently, but bare with us we’re busy people.

We also put some set lists up under ‘past episodes’. Look above.

If you have any suggestions for us (website, music, life advice) remember to call into the studio when we’re there LIVE Mondays 12-2 Pacific. Or call in the hour after and talk to Fred. our muse. 1-778-782-cjsf (2573), or 778-quacks3.  Or leave a comment on this site!  Good day!

Welllllcome!

Holla

Well, here we are. First official post on the new site. We’re excited, and hopefully you are too.

Soon to come:

  • Links to previous shows
  • Set lists
  • What’s happenin’ around Vancouver, or the lower mainland.
  • Our passing thoughts about the importance of opening yourself up and listening to world music.
  • The creation of a space where anyone who loves music can share their finds and knowledge. This means anyone, from anywhere.
  • Many apologies for mispronunciation and misspellings… we only speak three languages.
This site is an addition to the show, which airs on CJSF 90.1 fm or www.cjsf.ca.
We’re broadcasting from Burnaby, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada, Planet Earth.
We is Nick and Kiara.
Our hope is that you’ll listen, learn, and help us do the same. You can never know all the music that’s out there, and that’s what makes us so excited!
You’ve read this far, and we thank you.
Stay tuned.
